Ask for a shareable Adobe verification URL
Adobe says a holder can open a certification badge verification page from the Active certifications area in the Adobe Certification Portal. Ask each proposed person to share that live page. The hostname should be controlled by Adobe, such as certification.adobe.com.
Nine fields for a defensible badge record
| Field | What to record | Buyer check |
|---|---|---|
| Holder | Full name exactly as Adobe displays it. | ☐ Matches the person in the proposal |
| Credential | Complete credential title, including Adobe Commerce. | ☐ Copied without shortening or translation |
| Role | Business Practitioner, Developer, Front-end Developer, or Architect, as included in the title. | ☐ Fits the proposed work |
| Level | Professional, Expert, or Master, as included in the title. | ☐ Read from the live record |
| Status | Current status shown by Adobe, such as Active. | ☐ Status is acceptable on review date |
| Issue date | Issued date exactly as shown. | ☐ Date copied into the annex |
| Expiry date | Expiration date exactly as shown, where provided. | ☐ Project timing is checked against it |
| Validation URL | Full live Adobe-hosted credential page address. | ☐ Opens without a supplier-controlled redirect |
| Review record | Reviewer name, check time, and planned recheck date. | ☐ A second reviewer can repeat the check |
Important: the official page may label the award type. Record that value too. Do not relabel a course certificate, qualified credential, accreditation, or internal training badge as an Adobe certification.
Seven marks before a credential is accepted
- 01
Resolve the final host
☐ The page opens on an Adobe-controlled hostname. Record redirects and reject a supplier-hosted imitation as validation evidence.
- 02
Match the holder
☐ The displayed name matches the proposed person. Resolve legal-name, preferred-name, or spelling differences before acceptance.
- 03
Read the whole credential
☐ The title names Adobe Commerce and the intended role. A badge for another Adobe product is not a Commerce credential.
- 04
Record level without inference
☐ Professional, Expert, or Master is copied as shown. Do not turn a level into a delivery seniority or job-title claim.
- 05
Check status and dates
☐ Status is acceptable today. The issue and expiry dates are recorded, and the planned work does not silently extend beyond the verified period.
- 06
Connect evidence to the role
☐ The buyer separately checks modules, integrations, architecture authority, route experience, and practical ability. A credential alone does not prove these.
- 07
Save the repeatable record
☐ The proposal contains the URL, copied fields, reviewer, review time, recheck date, allocation, and substitution rule.
Screenshots support a record but cannot validate it
Mark the result Adobe-validated only when the live Adobe record supports the named holder and credential. Mark it proposal-needed when identity, dates, allocation, or role fit still needs confirmation. Mark it not evidenced when the supplier does not provide a usable live record. Not evidenced does not mean false.
